Your Electric Bill
Understanding your electric bill and knowing how much energy various appliances use will help you gain control of your energy use. You may be surprised at the number of appliances you use regularly and how little it costs to run many of them. The greatest portion of your electricity needs involve heating, cooling, food refrigeration, water heating and lighting.

Below are the seven different areas of your statement with explanation of each. The statement to the left can be enlarged to actual size by clicking anywhere on the statement.
Member Information
- This is member's name and mailing address. If this address in incorrect on your bill notify People's Cooperative Services and we will update our records.

Service Summary & Message
- This area gives a brief account of your service. It shows your account number, location, phone number, billing & due date, type of bill, rate, meter number, and days of usage.
- Check this area for monthly messages, such as office closings, safety & energy saving tips, and other important information.

Current Bill Information
- Meter reading dates, previous and present meter readings, and kWh usage
- Energy Charge, Facility Charge, and misc. charges
- Credits applied to account
- Sales tax
- Amount due and applicable late fee if charged

Other Bill Information
- This area shows the balance of your bill and lists any payments or adjustments to your bill.
kWh 13-month History
- This area gives you important information about your electric usage. The letters under the bar graph represent the months of the year going backwards.
Office Information
- This area shows office hours, payment must be RECEIVED time frame to avoid late fee. Late payment charge and 24-hour night depository for members convenience.

Return This Portion with your Payment
- This area shows the due date and net amount due. If you are using an automated payment it will show Bank Draft -- DO NOT PAY. If not, it will be the delinquent date and amount.
