People’s Cooperative Services Scholarship Program
MN Youth Leadership Conference | NRECA Washington DC Youth Tour | PCS Scholarship Program
People's Cooperative Services provides scholarships to 18 area high schools and 3 colleges. In 2008 People’s awarded forty high school graduates throughout the cooperative service area with scholarships totaling $26,500. Awards are funded from the unclaimed capital credits of former cooperative members. Won’t you like to be one of the recipients of this year’s scholarship funds? Contact your school guidance counselor for an application.
In order to apply for scholarship funds the students must have a parent or guardian who is a member of Peoples Cooperative Services. Applications are generally available in March and April and can be picked up from your area high school guidance counselors. Students will turn in the applications to the guidance counselors. The applications will be reviewed by a special Scholarship Committee and the scholarships will be awarded to the students at an honors ceremony or at graduation by a member of the Board of Directors or staff of People's Cooperative Services. The student will receive payment of the scholarship after the student shows completion of one semester from an accredited college or vocational/technical school.
