Membership and Deposit

New members are asked to come to the office to sign up for new electric service with People's Cooperative Services.

There is a membership form to complete and the billing process is explained.

All members requesting electric service, who have not had electric service in their name with the Cooperative, will be required to provide an acceptable credit reference from another utility or pay a deposit. The deposit is based on a two-month average utility bill at the said residence. The deposit will be applied to your account after establishing good credit by paying your bill by the due date for 12 consecutive months. Interest is earned on your deposit.

With an approved credit letter from your previous electric, gas or telephone company stating you have had outstanding credit in the last 12 months, the deposit fees are waived. Upon termination of service with the cooperative, the membership and deposit will be credited towards the final bill or refunded back to you.
